Summary

The standalone decision API exposed the AI SDK's experimental options and result metadata as eve's public contract. This replaces that dependency leak with eve-owned questions, inferred answers, normalized usage, and a narrow runtime adapter. The same boundary cleanup applies to sandbox networking, Slack cards, Next.js, and instrumentation declarations.

What changes

• Export DecisionOptions, DecisionQuestion, DecisionAnswer, DecisionResult, and related types from eve/ai. Choice keys infer the answer's choice union.
• Accept model, state, questions, maxRetries, and signal; stop promising arbitrary provider options, headers, warnings, and response metadata.
• Keep provider execution, validation, and retries behind the AI SDK adapter. A structurally named model still needs an implementation the installed SDK supports.
• Own Slack card/block declarations and sandbox network descriptions without changing the application's SDK-backed handle identity.

Provider-specific result metadata is not part of the new result. Use the owned DecisionOptions type for reusable configurations.

Diff size

Production source: approximately +1,031 / −106 lines (net +925).

Relative to this PR's actual single-commit parent; excludes tests/test support, docs, fixtures, generated reports, and compatibility-table data. Includes types, comments, and code moves.

Of the additions, 701 lines are owned Slack card/block declarations; the decision adapter is 41 lines. The total is not all new decision-execution logic.

Validation

The latest assembled tree passed all 11 workspace unit tasks (7,941 core tests), focused approval and child-session regressions, package and affected eval-fixture types, docs, formatting, lint, and invariants. The prior assembled baseline also passed the workspace build, 54-script typecheck matrix with dependencies, and real crash/promotion coverage. E2E runs only in CI; no local e2e success is claimed.
