Summary

A channel delivery hook previously returned harness StepInput, so adapter authors had to know execution internals to replace an inbound message. It now receives a typed ChannelDelivery<TState> and returns a channel-owned replacement without a state field. The framework performs the harness conversion and preserves transport-owned context.

What changes

• Return a replacement delivery to change message, answers, context, or output schema; mutate state through the channel context. Return nothing to keep the original; return {} to remove this delivery's input.
• Run a delivery-only channel's hook even when it has no state or event handlers. Preserve hidden client context and original input text across replacement.
• Derive authored channel identity from its path as channel:<name>; remove the separate kindHint choice.
• Classify audience through the explicit audience callback, not metadata().audience. Missing classification stays unknown, rather than implying visibility.

Validation

The latest assembled tree passed all 11 workspace unit tasks (7,941 core tests), focused approval and child-session regressions, package and affected eval-fixture types, docs, formatting, lint, and invariants. The prior assembled baseline also passed the workspace build, 54-script typecheck matrix with dependencies, and real crash/promotion coverage. E2E runs only in CI; no local e2e success is claimed.
