I build the free, open-source tools I always wished existed, so I stopped waiting and forged them myself: self-hosted servers, a phone app, browser extensions. Private by design: no accounts, no telemetry, nothing ever leaves your own walls. It started as a hobby and got happily out of hand, and it turns out a one-knight crusade doesn't know when to stop.
- arrowloop - two-way sync that shows you the plan before it moves anything: a trash, two brakes, on server, desktop and Android.
- bombvault - backup & disaster recovery for containers, VMs and the Unraid flash, via restic, encrypted, off-site, one-click restore.
- featherdrop - private WeTransfer: login-free, end-to-end encrypted sharing with self-expiring links, in one feather-light container.
- knightloader - self-hosted download manager with a clean UI, phone app and browser extension. Under development, not ready.
- parleyport - your own relay for KnightLoader and BombVault: instances on different networks meet there, and it reads none of it.
- trickwork - turns images into proportional-font-aware ASCII art, live preview, TXT/XHTML/RTF/PNG export, desktop or Docker.
- euro-office - sovereign OnlyOffice-compatible document server, wired into OpenCloud for office editing, one click on Unraid.
- excalidraw - the hand-drawn whiteboard, self-hosted so shared links, live collaboration and even the fonts stay on your server.
- garage - Garage's S3-compatible object store plus its web admin panel, bundled into one container, zero manual CLI setup at all.
- handbrake - HandBrake's full GUI in your browser via Selkies, GPU-accelerated, dark by default, with a watch-folder converter.
- jdownloader - JDownloader 2 on a Selkies web desktop in your browser, complete dark UI out of the box, and no VNC client.
- juicefs - the JuiceFS S3 gateway as a ready-to-run container, with the file system created on first boot, not by hand in a console.
- krusader - twin-pane KDE file manager on a fast Selkies web desktop, native dark theme, with Kate, krename and RAR support.
- matrix - plug-and-play Matrix homeserver: Synapse, coturn, Element Web and Ketesa admin in one box, federation from the start.
- opencloud - one-click OpenCloud file sync & share: auto-init, permission-heal, PUID/PGID, S3-capable, around the official image.
- prusaslicer - PrusaSlicer, the 3D-printing slicer, in your browser on a Selkies web desktop, no VNC client, nothing to install locally.
- stellarium - Stellarium planetarium in your browser via Selkies: pan, zoom and time-scrub the sky, no VNC client, amd64/arm64.
- strawdroid - a real Android emulator on a Selkies desktop, driven over adb, so an app gets installed and broken without a phone.
- trialyard - a GPU-accelerated Selkies desktop with real browsers, the standing sandbox every test runs in, away from the host.
- claper - open-source, self-hosted Mentimeter/Slido alternative: live polls, Q&A and quizzes alongside your slides, on your server.
- couchdb - the HTTP/JSON database behind Obsidian LiveSync, 3.x with persistent data, config and CORS set up for the plugin.
- n8n - workflow automation with every option exposed in the Unraid template form, no compose editing, no hunting for variables.
- openhands - open-source AI software-development agent that writes and tests code, pre-wired for your local Ollama, no cloud.
- rustfs - an S3 object store written in Rust, which without this template's fixes does not start on Unraid at all. Still a pre-release.
- seaweedfs - S3-compatible object storage, the maintained alternative now that MinIO's open edition is done, ready for Unraid.
- standardnotes server & web - self-hosted Standard Notes sync server plus the encrypted web client, your notes on your server.
- versitygw - an S3 API in front of a share you already have, every file still readable over SMB and NFS, no import, no second copy.
- bombvault-widget - companion plugin that puts BombVault's activity log on Unraid's dashboard as a real, native tile of its own.
- cannonadecommand - health-gated startup order, live CPU/RAM/network limits, themeable badges, in the Docker and VM tabs.
- shiplog - per-container update advisor in Unraid's Docker tab: changelog, risk level and the real version jump, plus auto-update.
- firesquire - a pre-reboot health check for Unraid: one GO / CAUTION / NO-GO verdict so you never reboot your server blind.
- jd-plain-dark - a fully dark JD Plain theme for JDownloader 2, download list, link grabber and settings included, and no jar patch.
- flat-monkey-dark - dark IBM-Carbon reshell of MediaMonkey 5's Flat Monkey skin, with a free picker for your own accent colour.
- glimstone - the shared design language behind my apps: palette, rules, components and reference tokens to copy into each app.
- unraid-apps - one Community Applications feed for my apps and plugins, added once. The themes install from their own repos.
A one-knight job: I build them, keep them running, work through the issues and add what people ask for, until nothing is missing. They are free, with no accounts, no telemetry, no ads and no paid tier. No asterisk anywhere. Nothing readable ever leaves your own walls. Forged on evenings and weekends, with heart and stubbornness.
If one of these has earned a place on your server or computer, toss a coin to your knight: it helps cover the costs and keeps the project alive. It also makes this knight's heart beat a little faster. Three ways below, whichever suits you.
Problems, wishes or suggestions? Don't hesitate to open an issue.
