  • Patch-overlay MRAs, such as the arcadepatches.com restorations, hold thousands of <patch> blocks and run to megabytes. readMRASetName rejected anything over 256 KB before reading the header, so their setname was never found.
  • The reader now stops at the <rom> payload, which always follows the header, and keeps the 256 KB read bound.
  • Replaces the oversized-file test with one covering a large payload after the setname and a setname that only appears after the payload.

Refs #1663

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • MRA files can now be read even when their ROM payload makes the file large, while set names are only recognized before the ROM payload.
    • Set-name reading remains limited to the first 256 KiB of XML.

Patch-overlay MRAs carry thousands of <patch> blocks and run to megabytes.
The size check rejected them before the header was read. Stop at the <rom>
payload instead, keeping the read bound.

📝 Walkthrough

MRA set-name parsing now uses the existing 256 KiB XML read bound without rejecting files based on total size. It stops searching when it reaches <rom>. Tests cover set names before and after a large payload, along with missing files and directories.

Changes: MRA set-name parsing

Bounded parsing and payload boundary
pkg/database/scraper/misterdocs/mra.go, pkg/database/scraper/misterdocs/mra_test.go
The reader no longer rejects files based on total size and stops searching for <setname> at <rom>. Tests verify that a set name before a large payload is returned and one after it is not. The missing-file and directory test remains.

The parser change has no established production failure, but its new test does not protect the ROM boundary. A short post-ROM fixture would close that gap before merge.

Use a short ROM payload for the post-ROM assertion.

Late.mra places <setname> beyond the 256 KiB reader limit. The assertion can pass even if readMRASetName no longer stops at <rom>. Use a short ROM payload so the test detects that regression.

Suggested fix
-	late := append([]byte("<misterromdescription><rom>"), payload...)
-	late = append(late, "</rom><setname>late</setname></misterromdescription>"...)
+	late := []byte("<misterromdescription><rom><patch>10 15</patch></rom><setname>late</setname></misterromdescription>")

Update TestReadMRASetName_LargePayload so Late.mra uses a short ROM payload,
keeping the setname immediately after the closing rom element and within the
reader limit. Preserve the existing assertion that readMRASetName does not
return a set name after encountering rom.
