About Me

Software Engineer from Mexico. By day, my work revolves around writing code (.py, .php, .ts, .bash, .hcl, .yaml etc), building APIs, and integrating LLMs and RAG workflows (though none of that proprietary code makes it to this GitHub account). In my free time, you'll find my open-source projects here, including native Linux applications built in Rust (currently learning).

Current Focus

Right now, my ADHD hyperfocus is channeled into QBZ, a native Qobuz client for Linux. It has somehow evolved into a serious Rust project (which people are actually using and enjoying, haha) and the perfect excuse to obsess over high-fidelity audio playback, metadata parsing, and UI details, proving it's actually fun to escape the dark depths of backend and infra every once in a while.

My setup

Linux user since 1999. I use Gentoo (BTW) for its flexibility and performance, and because every sufficiently long emerge is a perfectly valid excuse to grab another cup of coffee.

When AFK

There is a very good chance I’m listening to Iron Maiden or Opeth while writing code. To be fair, there is a very good chance I’m listening to Iron Maiden at virtually any point in my life.

I’m also into old-school anime (Macross and Saint Seiya get their annual rewatch) and video games, although my Steam backlog is currently competing with my bug backlog for long-term dominance.

When I’m not coding or debugging, I’m probably building something with my daughter or replaying Doom II or Castlevania SOTN.
