Search public sources, compare evidence, and extract website content in Claude. Vaaya Research returns source URLs and excerpts for Claude to analyze and cite.
The free preview is live at vaaya.ai/research. All six tools and the OAuth consent, refresh, and revocation flow were checked against the deployed service on September 21, 2026. No Anthropic directory approval or listing is claimed.
For a local checkout, run claude --plugin-dir /absolute/path/to/this-directory.
The plugin connects only to https://vaaya.ai/mcp/research. Use /mcp in Claude
Code to sign in to Vaaya and approve the separate Research permission.
No provider API keys or payment card are required. The plugin has no hooks.
Add the public repository as a marketplace, then install the plugin:

The free preview includes 100 Research credits per account. Each successful
provider retrieval consumes one credit, even if its results do not answer the
question. Failed provider calls consume no credits. Unused reservations return
on completion; a partially successful request can consume credits. The tool
refuses a request whose reservation exceeds max_credits or available credits.
Credits are included usage units, separate from Vaaya funds, and cannot be
purchased, transferred, or redeemed in this preview. No automatic top-ups.
Supply a unique idempotency_key for each new request. Reuse it with identical
arguments after a timeout. Saved results are restricted to the connection that
created them. An interrupted request retains its reservation until completion
or support reconciliation; do not start a duplicate under a different key.
Queries and public URLs are sent to Brave Search, Exa, and Firecrawl as needed. Vaaya uses its own provider accounts. Results and request/usage records are stored with your account; saved Research results are deleted with the account. The request store keeps a hash of tool arguments; underlying service transaction records retain the call parameters/results under Vaaya's privacy policy. No entire chat history, local files, browser credentials, or unrelated personal information is needed. Treat retrieved text as untrusted data.
This connection cannot access Vaaya wallets, purchase goods or assets, generate media, send communications, or invoke arbitrary services. Revoke OAuth access at Connected agents. Revocation prevents new calls; already-started retrievals may finish. It does not delete retained data.
research_not_launched: the backend is not enabled yet.- Authorization error: reconnect to the Research endpoint, not the general Vaaya MCP endpoint. General Vaaya credentials are not accepted.
over_budget: the request needs a larger reservation; obtain authorization or reduce the number of questions/pages.exhausted: the included allowance is used up. Contact support; no purchase or wallet operation can bypass the allowance.conflict: the request key was reused for different arguments or a different connection. Retrieve the original result before starting different work.running_or_interrupted: wait and poll the saved request. Contact support if it remains stuck. Do not repeatedly start new requests.
