Installing on M1 hardware
=============

To install on Apple computers running on M1 silicon, you'll need to use Rosetta. Setup instructions here: https://apple.stackexchange.com/a/428769. Then, do the following:
* Install [macPort](https://www.macports.org/install.php)
* Open a Rosetta-enabled terminal
* In terminal, run: `sudo port install appledoc`

Note: this means that `appledoc` will only run when Rosetta is enabled. It won't run natively on M1, in other words.
