TechTank TO — Website Redesign

A Next.js (App Router) implementation of techtankto.com, Toronto's volunteer-run tech community website. The redesign moves away from a flat "link-tree" layout toward a conversion-oriented onboarding hub that funnels visitors into specific roles — attendee, speaker, host, sponsor, or organizer.

Specs live in docs/prd/; application code lives in app/. The initial UI scaffold was generated from the PRD via v0 — original prompt and generation.

House standards (process, writing, nextjs, components, data, testing, performance, accessibility, seo, git) are supplied by the harness-skills library, vendored at .agents/skills/ (.claude/skills/ symlinks to it) and loaded automatically by any skill-aware coding agent.

Getting started

Requirements: Node.js 20+ and pnpm 10.

pnpm install
pnpm dev

Then open http://localhost:3000.

Environment Variables

Some features require environment variables to function correctly. Copy .env.example to .env.local and populate the values:

Variable	What it is
LUMA_CALENDAR_ID	The Luma calendar ID (e.g. cal-...) used to fetch upcoming and past events on the /events page.

Deployment

The site deploys to Vercel. Search engine indexing is enabled site-wide via the robots metadata in app/layout.tsx.
