A minimal, fast, and terminal-native CLI assistant powered by the Google Gemini API.

Installation

Install globally via npm:

npm install -g @stbestichhh/term-ai

Setup

Set your Gemini API key once. It will be saved into your XDG configuration directory (~/.config/tai/config.json):

tai config set-key YOUR_GEMINI_API_KEY

Alternatively, you can export GEMINI_API_KEY in your shell environment (~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc).

Usage

Ask any command-line or system administration question:

tai how to see what mapped to port 1111

Output:

lsof -i :1111
