Hi, I'm René 👋

I build platforms and the teams that run them.

I co-founded commercetools — now a leading enterprise headless-commerce platform and Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader — and spent the last 12 years at SAP building cloud platforms at scale, most recently as Chief Cloud Architect for SAP's Business Technology Platform: multi-cloud platform services (AWS, GCP, Azure, and SAP infrastructure), a Kafka event platform ingesting 5+ TB/day at 99.999% uptime, and the transformation of a reactive ops team into a proactive SRE culture.

  • proxmox-stdio-mcp — a Model Context Protocol server that wires AI assistants into real infrastructure (Proxmox).
  • confkoffer — bundle, encrypt, and ship project configuration to S3-compatible storage (Go).
  • proxmox-k3s-iac / proxmox-lxc-iac — Terraform + Ansible infrastructure automation for self-hosted Kubernetes and LXC.
