I reviewed the failing check with Claude, and here is what Claude helped determine:
The failing r_cmd_check is unrelated to this PR and pre-existing on master. This PR only changes _pkgdown.yml and docs/, both of which are listed in .Rbuildignore and therefore stripped from the tarball that R CMD check runs on — so these changes can't affect the check. The failure is in test-get_truth.R (preprocess_jhu), a test comparing against live covidData JHU data that no longer matches the fixture. Safe to merge: the site is published by the separate pkgdown.yaml workflow, which will rebuild with the analytics snippet on merge to master.
