All files originate from a single Japanese Pokémon FireRed cartridge acquired secondhand from Surugaya. I exported the save with a GB Operator and exported the Pokémon using PKHeX Avalonia. The save passes all internal checksums (all 14 sections, Hall of Fame block) and reflects a complete FireRed playthrough (legendary birds caught, trading history with some trainers, etc.).

Surugaya_FireRed.sav.zip

Trainer: サトシ / TID 27233 / SID 40981

For the filenames I tried to follow the repo convention, let me know if anything needs changing.

Files Added

1. Released/Gen 3/JPN/GW/ - 15 new files

Event: ポケモンセンターGWまつり 2005
Distribution: April 25 – May 8, 2005, Pokémon Centers Tokyo/Osaka/Nagoya/Fukuoka/Yokohama

Pokémon OT TID Level Moves Origin
Pikachu GW 50425 10 Growl / Tail Whip / Thunder Wave / Fly Ruby

None of the 15 PIDs matched what is already in the repo, so they should all be new individuals.

2. Released/Gen 3/JPN/ヨコハマ/ - 17 new files

Event: ポケモンセンターヨコハマ オープン記念ピカチュウ
Distribution: March 19 - April 3, 2005, Pokémon Center Yokohama

Pokémon OT TID Level Held Moves Origin
Pikachu ヨコハマ 50319 10 Light Ball ThunderShock / Growl / Thunder Wave / Surf Ruby

There were 9 additional cloned copies in the save, I excluded those.

3. Released/Gen 3/JPN/Gather More Pokemon! Campaign/3rd Campaign/オーサカ/ - 2 new files

Event: もっとポケモンをあつめよう!キャンペーン - 3rd Campaign, オーサカ, January 2006

OT TID Level Origin
オーサカ 60114 10 Ruby
Pokémon Moves
Scyther Quick Attack / Leer / Focus Energy
Electabuzz Quick Attack / Leer / ThunderPunch

These match the 3rd Campaign species pool. The checksums F4D6 and E2A1 do not appear in the previously-removed set (commit 7048ebe8), confirming these are new individuals.

Naming note: I used the RSEFL - prefix based on the git history (commit 7048ebe). Both files have Ruby origin (game_origin = 2), which would suggest RS - by analogy with how the GW and Yokohama Pikachus are named. Not sure whether RSEFL for GMPC reflects the event's multi-game availability or something else... happy to rename if there's a preferred convention.

4. Released/Gen 3/JPN/ポケパーク/Eggs 2005/RS/ - 3 new files

Event: ポケパーク 2005 - DS Download Play distribution
Distribution: March 12 - May 8, 2005, PokéPark Japan (all 5 Gen 3 games via DS Download Play)

OT TID Level Origin
サトシ 27233 5 (hatched egg) Ruby
Pokémon Moves
Pichu ThunderShock / Charm / Follow Me
Taillow Peck / Growl / Focus Energy / FeatherDance
Corphish Bubble / Water Sport

Moves match the Bulbapedia-documented PokéPark egg movesets exactly. These are Ruby-origin, consistent with the park's DS Download Play distribution which supported all 5 games. The existing JoySpot/ folder covers the FRLG-exclusive Mystery Gift distribution at Market Fantasia; these are from a different distribution point.

- 15 GW Pikachu (ポケモンセンター GWまつり 2005)
- 17 Yokohama Pikachu (ポケモンセンターヨコハマ オープン記念 2005)
- 2 Osaka GMPC 3rd Campaign (Scyther, Electabuzz)
- 3 PokéPark 2005 RS eggs (Pichu, Taillow, Corphish)

Thanks!!

All of the event Pokemon have a game origin of Ruby, but they were available for all games at the time. So we should name the files accordingly.

Can you link me to a naming convention somewhere? From your comment I assumed I would need "RSEFL" for all of them since they were obtainable in all these games, but that would mean:

  • The GW Pikachu, currently starting with "RS"
  • The Yokohama Pikachu, currently starting with "RS"
  • The PokéPark Eggs, currently starting with "RS"

are currently all wrong?

Instead of the "RS" subfolder I made for the PokéPark ones, it probably also makes more sense to put them in "DS Download Play", right? I see the ones currently in there are still eggs -> should mine then say "hatched" or just have the Pokémon name? My current assumption would be RSEFL - ポケパーク [Species] ([4-char-checksum]) (JPN).pk3
