The “Acceptable use” link in the docs points to [/docs/merchant-of-record/acceptable-use](https://polar.sh/docs/merchant-of-record/acceptable-use), but the policy is live at [/legal/acceptable-use-policy](https://polar.sh/legal/acceptable-use-policy). This approach keeps the policy within Mintlify so docs search and the assistant can use it. On the other hand, we could simply update the link to point to the legal page. ↓ **AI explanation** This adds a docs page generated from the existing legal source, plus a sync command and a CI check that catches drift between the two. After editing the legal source, we run the sync command to update the docs copy. The legal page remains the source of truth.

Auto-approved: Adds a Mintlify docs page generated from the legal Acceptable Use Policy, with a sync script and CI drift check, and removes the redirect to the legal page. Bounded docs/tooling change; the legal source remains canonical.

Hmm, I think this is overengineering a bit. The thing about it being accessible by Mintlify for search & AI docs chat is double, it should be definitely be more easy to find from the documentation, but if the AI chat has access to it, it may lead to conflicts where "Your docs said it was okay" because of a misinterpretation by Mintlify chat. |

Yeah I get that, what about simply updating the link so it reaches the legal pages? |
|
Doesn't it already redirect? Is that not working for you? |
|
No the link is to (see image) but the aup is at https://polar.sh/legal/acceptable-use-policy |
|
So right now it doesn't take you anywhere, could have made that clearer 😅 |

We have a simpler solution brewing |
The “Acceptable use” link in the docs points to /docs/merchant-of-record/acceptable-use, but the policy is live at /legal/acceptable-use-policy.
