My pieces account is linked to this github account. I request full data deletion. Btw is this legal to not have a button for data deletion and being forced to open a github issue?

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to see you go! 🙏

First, to address your question directly — you're right that having to open a GitHub issue isn't the smoothest experience, and that's fair feedback. We're using this flow today because account deletion touches both cloud and on-device data, but making it self-serve is something we want to improve. I'll make sure your note gets to the team.

On the deletion itself, there are two parts:

1. Cloud data — Your account and all data linked to it on our servers will be fully deleted on our end. I'm processing that now and will confirm here once it's complete.

2. Local data (your memories) — This is the important part: your Long-Term Memory and other data live on your machine, not in the cloud, so deleting your account does not remove them automatically. To fully wipe your local data, you'll need to delete this folder manually on disk:

C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\Mesh Intelligent Technologies, Inc\Pieces OS\com.pieces.os\production

(Replace <your_username> with your Windows username. It's easiest to close Pieces OS first, then delete that folder — or the entire com.pieces.os directory if you also want to remove the configuration.)

One small favor: if you'd be open to it, we'd genuinely love to learn what led you to remove your account — even 15 minutes of feedback would help us improve.
