Their IDs apparently look like ECOLI:CYT-D-UBIOX-CPLX

Let's see if we can use that in the generated GPML too. The values you use now (as stated in the README) can likely be used as comments.

Hi @egonw , quick question:
I’m not completely sure what exact BioCyc ID format you mean here, where to extract it from, and whether it should be applied to pathways, reactions, or both. Should these BioCyc IDs added replaced in the PlantCyc→GPML conversion, or is it for later for mapping?

The Plantcyc pathway identifiers are not resolvable on bioregistry in our understanding, because PlantCyc is a separate resource from Biocyc, and it is open source, and has a separate license.
Even though they use a similar regex

So for example plantcyc uses http://identifiers.org/biocyc/PLANT:--EPHEDRINE and http://identifiers.org/biocyc/PLANT:1-METHOXY-3-INDOLYLMETHYL-GLUCOSINOLATE but they don't resolve, i can still put it as IDs, but i'm not sure if it will be usefull.
