This repository contains the design files for the Neon Beat buzzer casing. Those files have been created with FreeCAD.
The buzzer casing is composed of 3 parts:
- a "matrix" supposed to contain all the electronic components
- a bottom part supporting the matrix
- a top part supporting the main arcade button and covering the whole thing
The casing is designed to be printed with a 3D printer. Numerous buzzers have been already assembled with the following settings:
- material: PLA
- slicing: Cura with basic settings
- supports:
- no support for the matrix, default orientation on the printing plate
- no support for the bottom part, default orientation on the printing plate
- top part upside down on the printing plate, supports enabled for the hole receiving the arcade button
- brim added for matrix and bottom part to prevent warping, due to sharp corners.
The design involves threaded inserts to allow nicer assembly and easier maintainance of the buzzer. You will need to add the following inserts:
- 4 M2 inserts into the bottom part to screw the matrix into it
- 4 M3 inserts into the top part to screw the bottom part into it
