Summary

Reorganizes the workiq skill's Teams guidance so the agent reads less and gets the same rules in one place. It also adds new Teams guidance ported from the work-iq-tools eval branch and removes eval-specific examples. Only the workiq plugin changes; workiq-preview is untouched.

Teams guidance restructure

references/teams-work-iq.md is replaced by a core file plus topic files. Every Teams task reads the core file plus one topic file.

File Covers
teams-routing.md (core) Finding teams, channels, chats, and messages; resolve-then-act on sub-collections; which ID goes where (membership vs. directory user vs. tag-member, etc.); the shared member body; a single query-limits table; write outcomes and errors (200/201, 202, 204, 500, 403, 400, 404); shared discipline (target lock, batching, paging)
teams-reading.md Read paths, summarizing a named chat or channel, unread chats, who reacted, bounded reads
teams-messages-writes.md Send, reply, mentions, reactions, reply-with-quote, edit, pin/unpin, soft-delete, hide a chat, mark read/unread; one message body and user identity body
teams-members-presence.md Team and channel members, role changes, members/add, tags, presence, status messages
teams-lifecycle-settings.md Team details and settings, archive/unarchive, private and shared channels, cross-team inventory, work hours and location
teams-meetings.md Finding meetings, join links, meeting chats, transcripts, AI insights
teams-apps-files-content.md Tabs, installed apps, channel files and attachments, inline images

Rules that were repeated per recipe now appear once. Examples include "known contracts, skip search_paths/get_schema" (previously about 25 copies), the query limits, write-outcome handling, and ID rules.

New guidance

  • Messages: replyWithQuote for quoting a chat message; messaging yourself via /chats/48:notes/messages; soft-delete for chat and channel messages instead of delete_entity; unsetReaction; pin/unpin; important channel announcements; mentions; never @odata.type on message bodies.
  • Reads: unread chats (ignoring system messages); who reacted; pinned messages; confirming "my message" via from.user.id; finding messages that @mention the user.
  • Members and tags: promote/demote, members/add, remove members, tag create/add/remove/delete.
  • Presence: reset to automatic, status messages, and the Graph-documented note that preferred presence shows Offline without an active Teams session.
  • Lifecycle: team settings and description, archive/unarchive (202), private channel roster check, a shared-channel create flow (one owner at create, then add people one at a time per Graph limits), channel inventory across teams, /teamwork admin-only read, and the work-hours weekday PATCH (needs start, end, recurrence).
  • Meetings: join-link lookup with an encoded JoinWebUrl, the transcript sequence, AI insights, and the transcript-policy stop.
  • Query limits: consolidated per-endpoint $select/$top/$filter restrictions (for example, no $top on /me/joinedTeams; omit $select when attachments, reactions, mentions, or importance are needed).

Other changes

  • SKILL.md: Teams routing rows collapsed to one row per topic file with generic examples; the "Finding Teams targets" lookups moved to teams-routing.md; the emoji-only reaction rule is kept in the write-examples table.
  • do-action-work-iq.md: Teams action bodies moved to the Teams files and replaced by a pointer table.
  • delete-entity-work-iq.md, update-entity-work-iq.md, fetch-work-iq.md, get-schema-work-iq.md, ask-work-iq.md: point to the Teams files and add small general rules (Teams query exceptions, message updates send only body, exact reads use fetch, don't present read-only create-schema fields as settable).
  • AGENTS.md: describes the new Teams file layout.

Removed

  • Fuzzy suffix matching for team, channel, and chat names (exact names only).
  • "Not available through WorkIQ" statements.
  • Eval-specific examples and fitted guidance (for example, the [Eval] Project X abc123 marker, the eval-tenant names, the creation-vs-modification section, and the channel-message create-properties recipe).

Validation

Documentation-only change. Checked that every referenced file and section exists and that the SKILL.md description stays under 1024 characters (826). Not yet validated against the Teams eval suite.
