🟒/🟠/⚫ is not quite distinguishable for person with colorblind #397

Description

To someone with protanopia or deuteranopia (red-green colorblindness), 🟒 (green) and 🟠 (orange) rely almost entirely on hue shift for differentiation. When reduced to identical 16x16 pixel circles, they blur into virtually identical shades.

Category Male Prevalence Female Prevalence
All Red-Green CVD (Total Umbrella) ~8.0% (1 in 12) ~0.5% (1 in 200)
└─ Protanopia (Missing Red Cones) ~1.0% ~0.01%
└─ Deuteranopia (Missing Green Cones) ~1.5% ~0.01%
└─ Protanomaly / Deuteranomaly (Shifted Cones) ~5.5% ~0.48%

Globally, ~340–350 million people live with red-green CVD (roughly equivalent to the entire population of the United States).

At least 100 million people have severe protanopia or deuteranopia, making green/orange Unicode indicators virtually indistinguishable to them.
