Since version 2.0, sphinxcontrib-mermaid renders diagrams with a dark Mermaid theme when the page is in dark mode. The CSS filter inverted them a second time, which made them unreadable.

Inversion was useful for sphinxcontrib-mermaid 1 though, but since version 2 is out since january 2026 maybe it is ok to stop supporting version 1?
