Near-tied losses previously produced winner-take-all weights in the default minimization path. Use direction-aware exponential utilities with a documented temperature in score units, preserving shared weight near ties and handling signed/zero scores. Validate inputs and stabilize extreme score gaps.

Closes #140.

Validation: just ci (format, lint, strict mypy, full coverage suite); regression cases for both directions, exact/near ties, signed scores, unit scaling, invalid inputs, and extreme values.
