Claude Desktop Flatpak

Flatpak manifest for Claude Desktop on Linux. Builds a single-file bundle from Anthropic's official .deb package.

Claude Desktop is proprietary software and cannot be redistributed — this repo contains only the build manifest, not the application itself.

Prerequisites

• Flatpak
• flatpak-builder
• Flathub configured as a remote (flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo)

Build and install

./build.sh

This downloads the .deb from Anthropic's apt repository, builds the Flatpak, and installs it for the current user.

Run

flatpak run com.anthropic.Claude

Or launch Claude from your application menu.

Update

Update the url and sha256 in com.anthropic.Claude.yaml to point to a newer .deb, then re-run ./build.sh.

Uninstall

flatpak uninstall com.anthropic.Claude
