Running the WebDriver on real device - very slow operation

Hello,
I've managed to successfully run my tests both on emulator and or real device with the aid of the windowsphonedriver that you provided.
However the operation of the browser on real device is very slow. While it takes few seconds to run some simple exemplary test on emulator, it takes few minutes to run the same test on a real device.
Is that a normal behaviour? Why testing web apps on real device is that slow?
