4 Uninstall
Short page. She doesn't spread herself around: on Windows everything is one folder plus Ollama, on Linux it's one folder plus two Docker volumes.
Stop her first either way.
From the folder above JunOS:
powershell .\JunOS\uninstall.ps1It asks before every step and touches nothing until you say yes:
- Continue? - everything after this is destructive.
- It stops her services (
start.ps1 stop). -
Uninstall Ollama too? It's a normal machine-wide app.
nkeeps it for whatever else you use it for. -
Also delete
C:\Users\You\.ollama? Only asked if that folder exists, i.e. you had an Ollama of your own before Jun. It prints the size first, because it's usually several GB of models that have nothing to do with her. - It deletes the
JunOSfolder.
That last step takes your chats, memories, settings, her weights and her extracted body with it. There is no undo - back up JunOS\runtime\state first if you might want her back.
Add -Yes to skip every prompt: stops her, removes Ollama, deletes the folder. Don't type it unless you mean all three.
Left behind on purpose: git, and any Python installed for the voice or the asset extraction. They're general-purpose tools you probably use elsewhere. Remove them from Settings > Apps if you don't.
From the folder above JunOS (or anywhere, it finds itself):
./JunOS/uninstall.shSame shape as the Windows one - it asks before each destructive step:
- Continue?
- It stops and removes the containers, including ones from profiles you have switched off right now (voice, karaoke, llamacpp).
-
Also delete the Docker volumes? This is the one that matters: those volumes hold every account, every conversation, every memory and the downloaded weights, and they normally survive a reinstall. Say
nand a later reinstall picks up exactly where you left off. Sayyand it tars the state volume to~/jun-backup-<date>.tar.gzbefore deleting it, with the stack already down so the database isn't mid-write. The weights aren't backed up, they re-download. - Also remove the Docker images? They rebuild on a reinstall. Yes saves a few GB.
- It deletes the
JunOSfolder.
./JunOS/uninstall.sh -y skips every question and takes all of it: containers, volumes, images, folder. The backup tarball is still written.
Add sudo in front if you said no to the docker group during the install.
Left behind on purpose: Docker, git, any Python installed for the asset extraction, and your docker group membership. Package manager's job, not ours.
Restoring that backup later, into a fresh install that's stopped:
docker run --rm -v omega_omega_state:/state -v "$HOME":/in alpine \
sh -c 'rm -rf /state/* && tar xzf /in/jun-backup-<date>.tar.gz -C /state'The volume is omega_omega_state whatever the install folder was called (the Compose project is named omega); docker volume ls confirms it.
The chats and memories in that backup are encrypted. They only open again with each account's password or recovery code, so keep those if you plan to come back.
