Comparing CI results to the current main-5.0 branch, I think this is in good shape:

The latest CI build on this branch has just 11 failures:

In general I think we can track these and fix them post-merge. What do others think?

E.g., I noticed there are a couple of CQLSSTableWriterDaemonTest with this error and it seems familiar - was there already a discussion, attempt to fix it, or a ticket?

The latest CI build on this branch has just 11 failures:
Oh, that was comparing main-5.0 against a manual run of the ds-cassandra-build-fast-ci-5.0 CI job using an older version of branch mck-main-5.0.7-rebase. Sorry.

The latest PR build, run 7, shows only 3 failing tests while the current main-5.0 branch has 4, so I think we're at parity.
