Description

Background

The TypeScript SDK previously implemented only part of the public behavior available in AgentScope Python. Core contracts, providers, middleware, workspaces, RAG, service capabilities, channel integrations, HTTP/AG-UI support, and Desktop runtime behavior had no single auditable parity baseline.

Purpose

Align the TypeScript monorepo with agentscope-ai/agentscope@61cdeae4ffe63182f3343229aa6fbd868e30b0c5 while preserving TypeScript-native architecture and existing import compatibility.

Changes

• Added Python-compatible Core contracts for messages, events, state, permissions, tools, models, agents, middleware, workspaces, RAG, embedding, TTS, pipelines, and console behavior.
• Added the @agentscope-ai/agentscope-service workspace package for storage, message bus, access control, runtime managers, teams, scheduling, RAG, hubs, channels, HTTP, SSE, and AG-UI.
• Migrated Desktop to a shared Core/Service composition root and removed duplicated Agent, scheduler, MCP, and skill implementations.
• Added explicit agent-driven context compression and Python-compatible tool-result splitting.
• Added replica-safe channel credential binding, Feishu/Lark device flow, HTTP endpoints, and channel connection-state handling.
• Added a schema-v2 parity manifest pinned by Git SHA and file digests.
• Added package-installation smoke tests, cross-platform native-path coverage, and Windows/Linux/macOS CI.

Parity inventory

• 432 Python source files verified.
• 104 contract-data files verified.
• 162 Python test files mapped and verified.
• Every source and contract-data mapping has TypeScript test coverage.
• Every Python test mapping resolves to an existing TypeScript test, golden fixture, or explicit adapter contract.

• Python: 2,128 passed, 147 skipped, 384 subtests passed.
• Core: 702 passed, 13 skipped.
• Service: 398 passed, 5 skipped.
• Desktop: 8 passed.
• Core, Service, and Desktop type-checks and builds passed.
• Package smoke passed for 38 ESM/CJS exports and 1 CLI.
• Frozen-lockfile installation, formatting, i18n, parity tooling, manifest checkout validation, and PR title validation passed.
• Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows jobs passed in CI run 33562144270.

External-provider live tests remain credential-gated; deterministic provider and adapter contracts run in the regular test suite.

The work is now tracked in #49 and will be resubmitted as small, dependency-ordered PRs. Each PR will contain one capability, its tests and documentation, exact verification commands, and explicit review guidance. Please review only the modular PRs rather than this snapshot.
