perf(library): jump to letters with browse index cursors - #271
Conversation
Letter jumps walked media.browse forward 100 rows at a time until the bucket offset loaded. They now start the list at the bucket's index cursor with one request, keep space for earlier rows, and load earlier letters one bucket request each as they scroll into view. Refs #263
Modules loaded by the test setup keep the global Capacitor mock, which reported no plugins. Files that mock Capacitor as native made preference hydration fail and log an error on a retry timer into later tests, which made the ProPurchase offerings test flaky.

📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe library browser now uses browse-index cursors and persisted browse windows. It loads groups lazily, supports earlier-row retries, refreshes stale cursors, and updates related routes, cache invalidation, translations, mocks, and tests. Screen-reader detection now preserves its last resolved state across remounts. ChangesIndexed library browsing

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to This change introduces persisted screen-reader detection state across component remounts and a lazy, cursor-based way to load earlier library rows. Testing surfaced two real gaps: a timing race that can leave the accessibility layout in the wrong state after a remount, and a lazily loaded "earlier" folder row that can show different content than the same row loaded through the normal scroll path. Neither breaks the app outright, but both should be fixed before merging to avoid inconsistent accessible layouts and inconsistent folder listings for some users. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 3 | ❌ 2❌ Failed checks (2 warnings)

The legacy browser build's async transform fails on entries.push(...(await ...)) with "unknown Expression of type SpreadElement", which broke every production and Core build. Await into a variable before spreading it.
A jumped list kept the directory count from the moment of the jump, and bucket cursor responses do not report it. After a library refresh that added or removed folders, rows before the anchor, placeholders and letter targets stayed at the old positions. Read the count from a one-row response that starts at the top. It is seeded from the saved window and refetches only when browse queries are invalidated or a cursor expires after a visibility change. Once the index and count have both settled, the window takes the new count and anchor start in one update, and loaded earlier buckets refetch under the new count.
Each useScreenReaderEnabled mount started in accessible mode on native until detection resolved again, so remounted lists rendered one normal-flow frame first. In a jumped library folder that frame collapses unloaded rows into a "Load earlier" button, so the page was shorter, the saved scroll offset was clamped, and returning to the Library tab landed dozens of rows above where the user left. Remember the last detected state across mounts. The first mount in a session still starts accessible until detection resolves.
Jumping from deep in a folder to an unloaded earlier bucket shortens the list before it scrolls to the target, so for a frame the old position sits at the new end and the list fetched the next page early. Skip loading more while the jump holds interaction, as loading earlier rows already does.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Preserve the root path during earlier-group resolution.
When scope.path === "", this call omits preservePath. The stream-page path preserves the initial root entry, but lazy loading the cursor-less earlier group can resolve that entry into its singleton child. The same row can then have different content depending on its load path. Pass the same root-path preservation argument here.

A detection started by a hook that has since unmounted could resolve after a newer mount detected a different state and overwrite the remembered value, so later remounts would start in the wrong layout. Only record results while the effect is active.
