I like this change, but I think it could worsen the issue of 'visualisations' being a bit opaque to some users, since they're not led by the sidebar when on other pages - can we change the tab name to something more user friendly? Maybe 'Explore the data' or something?

You're right to suggest this; it's covered by #199. The other issues in v0.7.0 come first.
