🚀 QUICK START - Trading Blocker

What This Is

A desktop application that FORCES traders to check all trading criteria before they can access TradingView. It literally blocks the website until the user completes the checklist.

Why This Exists

Trading requires discipline. Many traders know their rules but break them in the moment due to:

• FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
• Revenge trading after losses
• Overconfidence after wins
• Impulsiveness during market moves

This tool creates a PAUSE - a forced moment of reflection before execution. It prevents impulsive trading by requiring methodical checklist completion before any trading access.

⚡ Install & Run (2 Minutes)

1. Make Sure Python is Installed

• Download from: https://www.python.org/downloads/
• During install: CHECK ☑ "Add Python to PATH"

2. Put All Files in One Folder

Example: C:\TradingBlocker\

3. Double-Click: START_BLOCKER.bat

4. Choose Option 2 (Advanced Blocker)

• Click "YES" when Windows asks for admin permission
• TradingView is now BLOCKED

5. Complete the Checklist

• Check each item honestly
• When all checked, click "UNLOCK"
• TradingView opens

📝 Customize Her Checklist

1. Double-click: START_BLOCKER.bat
2. Choose option 4
3. Edit the criteria to match her trading rules
4. Save and close

🔄 Make It Auto-Start (Recommended)

1. Double-click: START_BLOCKER.bat
2. Choose option 3
3. Choose option 6 (Full Setup)
4. Done! Blocker runs automatically when Windows starts

WITHOUT BLOCKER:
User sees setup → Clicks trade → Realizes later it wasn't valid

WITH BLOCKER:
User sees setup → Tries to access TradingView → BLOCKED
→ Must complete checklist → Often realizes setup isn't actually valid
→ Saves money by avoiding bad trades

OR:

User sees setup → Completes checklist → Setup IS valid
→ Trades with confidence → Following their plan

🆘 Troubleshooting

"Python not found"

• Install Python from python.org
• During installation, CHECK ☑ "Add Python to PATH"
• Restart computer

"Access Denied" Error

• Right-click advanced_trade_blocker.py
• Click "Run as administrator"
• OR use START_BLOCKER.bat → Option 2

Still Can Access TradingView

• Make sure you're using advanced_trade_blocker.py (not standard version)
• Run as administrator
• Close ALL browser windows and try again

Want to Change Checklist

• Edit checklist_config.json in Notepad
• OR use START_BLOCKER.bat → Option 4
