This is a new module example. So not strictly docs, but it's for a docs purpose.
Issue Description
The goal is to show that STATE can be added incrementally.
This would then be added to the architecture dev guide.
Note: I think it'd be a good exercise to do, and it would be a useful example, but I'm not certain it is worth the effort.
