Pro-Audio-Control-for-Linux

A utility that aims to replicate the functionality of Audio Midi Setup for macOS or ASIO4ALL on Windows. Easy sample rate and buffer size control, and aggregate devices.

Current State

Right now this is literally just two dropdowns for global Sample Rate and Buffer Size with an apply button that I`m not convinced does anything. I mainly wanted to publish this as a reminder to myself to work on it more, I will flesh out the UI and documentation going forward but this is built with RUST.

Upcoming Features

Major: Add aggregate device control Fix apply button and live reading of current pipewire settings Optional granular control of parameters

Minor: REAPER extension for basic controls (just sample rate and buffer size)

Disclaimers

THIS IS VIBE CODED. I am not a real programmer and as such AI was used to create this, therefore I do not promise quality, repeatability, or robustness.

That said I use this myself for changing my sample rate and buffer size on Fedora. If you think you can do better, feel free to message me here or on my discord metalman1245 or fork if you would rather create your own project. Though I personally hate fragmentation, so I would much rather you just get in contact with me and I will add you to this repo so you can push changes yourself.
