Filmu -- Streaming Platform

A full-stack streaming platform built with the MERN stack. Users can browse movies and TV series, watch live channels via HLS streaming, manage subscriptions, and track watch history. Includes an admin dashboard for user management, transactions, and content administration.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+
• MongoDB instance (local or Atlas)

Backend

cd api
npm install

Create a .env file:

DATABASE_URL=mongodb://localhost:27017/filmu
JWT_SECRET=your-jwt-secret

npx prisma generate
npm run dev

API runs at http://localhost:4000.

Frontend

cd GUI
npm install
npm run dev

Frontend runs at http://localhost:5173.
