xitca-router pulls in std transitively via xitca-unsafe-collection #1402

Closed

Description

@the-shank

This crate is marked #![no_std]:

#![no_std]

But one of its dependencies (xitca-unsafe-collection, version 0.2.1) does not support no_std and pulls in std transitively:

xitca-unsafe-collection = { workspace = true }

As a result, builds targeting bare-metal or other no_std-only targets fail to compile, even though the crate itself contains no direct std usage.

    Thanks for reporting. That's true I would look into it.

    BTW xitca-router has some cyclic types with nested heap allocation like Vec so it has hard depend on alloc. So its not possible to make it work with strict no_std as is.

    Got it, having alloc requirement should be fine. Thanks

    Fixed by #1405 and xitca-router 0.5.0 has been published to crates.io
