When I go to guake.org, I get redirected to http://ww2.guake.org/?folio=7POYGN0G2 reading

Is there a backup of guake.org accessible somewhere?

Don't worry, this is just a DNS hoster's page.

Our domain name reservation has expired and we need to renew it.

I think bug needs a re-open. guake.org still looks scary. Have you re-newed reservation yet?

That's what the current site content looks like: taken over. There may not be a way back.
I guess it would be best to

• consider guake.org lost,
• grab some other cool top-level domain, e.g. guake.io or something else available and
• update all links to guake.org under your control to that new domain.
