This wiki is to collect and edit the in-game text content for OpenCiv3, particularly the Civilopedia equivalent tentatively named "Pedia". See the Index page for links to all the different categories in the Pedia. Each category (units, wonders, etc.) contains links to pages that have been written, much like the in-game Pedia index. This includes both Pedia entries as well as other categories of in-game text. If a page doesn't have a link, that means it's free to be written -- feel free to fill it in!
Ultimately, we need freely usable (original, public domain, fair use, or otherwise non-copyrighted) content to replace all non-trivial game text and any other text that we wish to add.
The biggest needs are:
- Pedia entries
- Diplomacy text
- Advisor commentary, including tech blurbs
Some additional nice to have text:
- Tech/wonder quotes
- Explanatory notes eg. for a tutorial mode
- Expanded city & leader lists
- Introductory message, perhaps per civ
Pages can be edited directly on this wiki if you have access (requires a GitHub account). Please make one page per pedia entry, or otherwise clearly organize the page with headers for smaller topics like quotes. Anyone else can collaborate on the shared Google doc found in Discord, and an editor will migrate content to here. Contact WildWeazel for access to either.
