Rocketry
The Aluminum resource appears on the map.
While rockets have existed for centuries, first discovered by the Chinese in the 13th century, research into rockets as weapons began to experience rapid interest during World War II. Fuel propellants beyond gunpowder began extending the effective range of rockets. In Germany, the development of the V-2 rocket manifested as the biggest leap in rocket technology since their inception. At the end of World War II, America captured multiple important German rocket scientists. The Soviet Union and the United States raced to develop longer-range rockets, for use in both ICBMs and space exploration vessels. In the modern day, rocket technology presents an existential threat but also forms the basis of satellite infrastructure and space exploration.
