BTW, would you be able sum-up the recent features you already implemented or point me to your model if public. (you know, it takes lot's of time to go over all commit's and re-engineer what it does.

Thanks for the fix, simple and effective. For a partial summary have a look at my first post in madduck#73 this covers the $[] inventory query and nested references. Beyond that there's the addition of using git repos as the data source for reclass (health warning: the git storage has only been tested on centos7), and a mixed storage type to get the yaml files from either local disc or git (similar in idea to salt's git external pillar env overrides)
