Relatedly, it would be great to have the components live in/around https://github.com/xtdb/xtdb-website-shared/blob/main/src/adoc.js so that they can be used from the website without duplication

The true requirement here is: be able to use the docs play in both the docs and the blog.

My thought was that moving to web-components would be compatible with both, but maybe the Astro could still be a more convenient wrapper than the web-components?
