Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Thank you for your interest in contributing to DevOp.

This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("Contributor") and Þorvaldur Hafdal, operating as DevOp ("DevOp").

By submitting a contribution to this repository, you agree to the following terms:

1. Definitions

"Contribution" means any code, documentation, or other material submitted by you to the DevOp project, including but not limited to pull requests, commits, issues, comments, or any other form of submission.

2. Assignment of Rights

You hereby irrevocably assign to DevOp all rights, title, and interest in and to your Contributions, including all intellectual property rights (including copyrights and related rights), to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

This assignment includes, without limitation, the right for DevOp to:

  • Use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the Contributions
  • Create derivative works
  • Re-license the Contributions under any license
  • Commercialize the Contributions as part of products or services
  • Sublicense the Contributions to third parties

3. Moral Rights Waiver

To the extent permitted by law, you waive any moral rights or similar rights in your Contributions.

If such rights cannot be waived, you agree not to assert them against DevOp or its licensees.

4. Representations and Warranties

You represent and warrant that:

  • You are legally entitled to grant the rights described in this Agreement
  • Your Contributions are original, or you have the necessary rights to submit them
  • Your Contributions do not infringe any third-party rights
  • You have obtained any necessary permissions from your employer or other parties

5. No Obligation to Accept Contributions

DevOp is not obligated to accept or use any Contribution.

6. License Back to Contributor

DevOp grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your Contributions as part of the DevOp project under the terms of the MIT License, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Iceland.

8. Acceptance

By submitting a Contribution, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood this Agreement
  • You agree to all terms and conditions stated above
  • You are legally able to enter into this Agreement

If you do not agree to these terms, do not submit Contributions.
