Become a sponsor to Eigen
Last spring I started wondering: how hard would it be to build my own Google Workspace? Fifteen months later, Eigen exists. Mail, drive, docs, sheets, slides, calendar, contacts and chat, all in one self-hosted server. It is open source (MIT) and it runs in production at eigen.is.
I build Eigen in my spare time, unpaid. Sponsorship helps in two ways. It covers the fixed costs: servers, domains, and storage for the test and demo instances. If it grows beyond that, it buys development time. Fewer paid client days, more days on Eigen.
The money goes to infrastructure first, then to the road to 1.0: safe data migrations, verified backups, an end-to-end test suite and a security audit. Reality check: Eigen is pre-1.0, and I would not yet trust it with data you cannot afford to lose. Sponsorship gets it to that point faster.
What you get is my thanks, your name in the supporters list, and for the larger tiers a logo in the README and on the website. No support contracts and no promised features. I read every issue, but Eigen has no SLA.
If Eigen is useful to you, or you simply want it to exist, thank you for chipping in.
