Question on GemGIS data download error

Hello - hate to be asking a question on GemGIS on this repo, but I opened an issue on the GemGIS repo a while back and have not received a reply, so I'm hoping that someone familiar with GemGIS could help me

Hello,

I'm following the tutorial here:

The download:

gg.download_gemgis_data.download_tutorial_data(filename="01_extract_xy.zip", dirpath=file_path)

throws an error:

HTTPError: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url: https://rwth-aachen.sciebo.de/s/AfXRsZywYDbUF34/download?path=%2F/01_extract_xy.zip

I also looked for the data in the data repo (https://github.com/cgre-aachen/gemgis_data), but don't see that folder.

could you try to access the file again? There was a temporary issue with the data provider, where these public links used in this example required a password. This is not the case any more.

Hey guys, I think the data was hosted on a CGRE OwnCloud. Maybe it got shut down? Or my Own loud access expired when I left RWTH?

as pointed out before gemgis is not really supported anymore, but I took some time to replicate some of the functionality (mainly the one that would help building gempy models into a small gempy plugin). It is not yet released in the pip version of gempy plugins but you can look at it and clone it here: https://github.com/gempy-project/gempy_plugins/tree/main/gempy_plugins/gis_data

I am laso happy to integrate more functionality if you are interested, as long as it is somewaht related to gempy or a gempy_plugin.

this is amazing - I think it'd be very helpful to a lot of GemPy users to have more functionality - I'm going to try using the plugin this weekend - thank you so much!
