Currently, I run pcmanfm-qt, which allows running a desktop through its --desktop flag, but I can't access the desktop without switching to another vacant tag or closing all windows. I'd like to be able to somehow hide all windows so that I could easily access desktop items, but I don't think mangowm has any functionality for it.
As far as I'm concerned, there are two ways of implementing this: either being able to "unselect" the current tag (which I'm unsure is currently possible), making all windows in that tag disappear, or expanding the scratchpad to hide multiple windows. I doubt this will have much community support given how uncommon desktop managers are for wayland, but it can be nice for general usability, especially with the scratchpad being able to hold multiple windows.
