Can we expand the Videos section? #2207

Description

@sivaraam

The videos in the "Videos" section have become stagnant. Can we link to new video resources that are available such as follows?

We could even link to Git Merge playlists if that would be helpful.

    Sounds good to me. While at it, we could see whether some currently-linked videos are no longer as helpful as they used to be and drop them.

    @sivaraam I'm not sure it's a coincidence or on purpose, but this is exactly what we've been talking about on the Contributor Summit last week.

    @dscho this as well.

    I'm not sure about this. I rather keep the content on git-scm centered about learning Git. Talks at Git Merge go wider in many directions.

    Haven't seen this one yet.

    These talks by Scott are fun and informative, I approve.

    Coincidence for sure 😄

    @nasamuffin would root for this, IIUC.

    Yeah, +1 to Zen of Git, that's my favorite data model explainer in video form that I've seen so far. It's also already on the "Handy Git Resources" pinned post in the Git Discord server, fwiw, so I don't think it's particularly new for the project to recommend it.

    @SunilKumarPradhan That's not how this project works: Nobody assigns anyone except maybe themselves. You clarified that you're interested in working on this, so if anybody else wants to work on it within the next few days, I'd expect them to ping you to coordinate. The next step for you wouldn't to "get assigned", but to open a PR with your proposal.

    @SunilKumarPradhan I echo what Dscho says. We want to avoid someone being assigned to an issue and not actively working on it, blocking the issue for others to pick up. Instead we encourage people to open up a PR and submit their proposal that way.
