What's the situation with cloning Github Snippets / Gists? #511

In gitlab a repo can have gists. I'd have to look but I think with GitHub gists are a completely different thing tied to users, which is why it hasn't been added yet. |

--clone-snippetsflag is available but only for GitLab is that correct?What is the barrier or issue to implementing this feature for GitHub?
