Cube Worlds — Documentation Index

Dated research and planning archives for the Cube Worlds Telegram Mini App.

For system architecture and code structure, see ../ARCHITECTURE.md at the repo root. For current project state (feature-by-feature), see ../CLAUDE.md.

Note (2026-07-13, v3 reset): everything in this folder is a point-in-time artifact from the v1/v2 era. v2 (the ancient-worlds ARPG these docs plan for) was built but never shipped and was removed in the v3 reset — the product is now mint-pass-first (see the repo root docs). ANCIENT_WORLDS_PLAN.md and ECONOMY.md were deleted with v2 (recoverable from git history). The research trilogy below remains useful as market/mechanics reference; read its Cube-Worlds recommendations as historical.

Research trilogy (archives, compiled May 2026)

1. MARKET_RESEARCH.md — Telegram crypto-game landscape

The 2024–2026 Telegram crypto-game market: what worked (Catizen, Fanton, Notcoin's pivot), what collapsed (Hamster Kombat, DOGS, most tap-to-earn), and why.

2. NFT_INTERACTIONS.md — NFT mechanics across all chains

A catalog of 20 NFT interaction patterns (breeding, fusion, evolution, rentals, soulbound, dynamic, staking, …) with cross-chain game examples. Relevant again whenever World I starts using the pass for gameplay.

3. TOKEN_INTERACTIONS.md — Fungible-token mechanics across all chains

Sources, sinks, utility patterns, and economy models with the survivor games' lessons. Its "keep $CUBE off-chain, sinks before faucets" thinking is the lineage of the v3 pay-per-try economy.

FUTURE_DEVELOPMENT.md — v1/v2-era TODO list

Numbered ideas spanning security hardening, fixes, and features, written before the pivots. Kept as an idea quarry; statuses inside are stale.

Working artifacts

superpowers/ holds dated plan/spec documents from past working sessions (e.g. the TMA-only bot entry design).
