Here my config https://gist.github.com/leppie/699de1aa46cfbebdc45d4ff702de2163 Ingame: 70%, 0 smoothing, 60% collisions. This is pretty light feeling setup, so you can add what you want. But it has sufficient detail for me. The main thing is understeer effect 0% and scrub drag 50% or so. This allows you feel the difference between a bump and understeer. |

@leppie & @coasting-nc the newest release brought back Garage Spikes and even worse Oscillations! |
|
@leppie for the rythmic vibrations on the straights, try the new preview build v0.7.201, it has a series of fixed for that: https://coasting-nc.github.io/LMUFFB/ |
|
@coasting-nc I can confirm that Hands-Off Protection in Moza software removes all spikes, and with high enough inertia removes oscillations. |
|
Created this issue for the spikes, identified a possible fix: #426 "Pause/Menu Spikes when the wheel is off-center " |
|
@tororutsu @leppie regarding oscillations, is the issue also mainly (or exclusively) when stationary? |
|
I will add a fix (damping) for when the car is stationary, and it will fade up to about 15-18 km/h. |
|
Preview build with the fix for Stationary (and low speed) Oscillations : v0.7.207 https://coasting-nc.github.io/LMUFFB/branches/fix-issue-430-stationary-damping-improvements-4681804477284668017/ Note: this added the slider "Stationary Damping" which is already enabled by default at 100%. It is in the "General FFB" section, after "Min Force". @tororutsu @leppie Let me know if the oscillations are gone now. |
|
FYI, too keep cross talk to minimum, I am creating a discussion just for me. |

Here is a new preview build that should refine the previous changes that reduced graininess and vibrations: v0.7.222 https://coasting-nc.github.io/LMUFFB/branches/issue-469-dsp-math-upgrades-1228367510942581948/ While graininess and vibrations were fixed in the previous version (v0.7.207), the changes acted as a massive low-pass filter. It delayed the steering angle and smoothed over all the high-frequency suspension data, which in DD wheels would result in a sluggish "damped" feeling. @tororutsu @leppie Please review this new build to confirm that:
The changes should be felt in the following FFB effects:
I have also added a new toggle in the Advanced Settings (at the bottom of the app) called "Telemetry upsampling -> Aux. Telemetry Reconstruction". By default, it is now set to Zero Latency (Predictive). The reconstruction filter pipeline has been rewritten, and the telemetry channels have now been grouped into 3 groups, each with different signal processing settings: 1. Chassis Kinematics & Impacts (G-Forces, Suspension Pushrod Force)
2. High-Frequency Texture (Suspension Deflection, Tire Slip Velocities)
3. Driver Inputs (Steering Angle, Pedals)

222 felt good. No more stationary oscilation issues, donut can still trigger spike, but it is only a temp one. I can live with that. On thing I did notice was a reduction of effects after crossing the finish line/flag in quali in online race. |

I am trying to figure out where can i report a log because I have the Moza R12 and it said Game FFB Blocked I even had the FFB in LMU turned off and had it at 0% i did however still have the invert ffb selected in LMU and I went to leave the pits and it went INSANE! I had to jump off my Rig and unplug it buit it was shaking so Violently that it moved my rig several inches over on the floor and its on carpet. I have never seen anything like that ever. I build houses for a living and I am 5-11 195lbs and far from weak and I could not hold on to it to save my life. I want to help because I believe in what you are doing and I want to make sure this doesnt happen to anyone else and also say Thank You for your Tireless and Probably often Unappreciated Work! So sincerely Thank You and Please let me know how i can help. Also can I have the Use LED selected and Use hardware display because I guess then it would still be interacting with my wheel? |

@tororutsu @leppie
Recommended starting point: 10% to 20%.
Let me know if it works! |

Uh oh!

I am starting this discussion 1) to not make a mess of current issues, and 2) to track my progress and knowledge on getting rid of random jerks and oscillations from my Moza software.
@leppie On your R3 do you suffer from oscillations, or just menu spikes/jerks?
