Crashing when using search function?

Hello all, I'm using QualCoder 3.8.2 on Windows and enjoying it.

However, when it comes to needing to use the search function, it seems very slow and is prone to crashing the whole programme.

Is there anything that I might be doing wrong or anything I can do to fix this?

Hello, yes this was an issue with in 3.8.2 and maybe earlier versions also, in the code text area.
The easiest solution for now would be to download and use the 4.0-beta version, from here:
https://github.com/ccbogel/QualCoder/releases/tag/4.0-Beta
There are several exes for Windows.

The new 4.0 version will modify the database slightly, and more importantly, PDF text coding is changed a little. So If this is especially important, keep an original project folder copy for use only with 3.8.2.
