My first post here. I am running Qualcoder now on Macbook, Linux Mint and Ubuntu. It works very well on Linuxies, but is extremely slow, and somehow unstable, on Macbook. As a consequence I am concentrating on Linux. I have some questions and comments in my mind, and hope this is the right place to share what I have learned so far. QC is a great tool, and the next upgrade will a nice step forward, i'm sure. BR JusSi

Can you tell me a little more about your Mac issues? Do you have an Intel based Mac or one with Apple Silicon (M1-M5)? How much RAM?
I use a Mac Mini with M1 and 16GB as my test machine and find QualCoder quite usable on it.

My Macbook is M2 version, RAM is 8 GB. Just started QC, and this time it was relative "fast". It took only 35 seconds. I have some other problems, but maybe it is good to wait the 4.0 upgrade. I will comment after that release.

The new Beta pre-release for Qualcoder 4.0 is now available: https://github.com/ccbogel/QualCoder/releases/tag/4.0-Beta

Please test it out. Just a few days ago, I have fixed a bug that could lead to crashes like yours. But it is hard to tell from this short snipped of the report. Do you have the AI integration enabled in QualCoder? The bug was related to that.

You M2 processor works well with QualCoder. Make sure that MacOS is not too old. MacOS Sonoma (14) and newer should work. Finally, it is possible that you run out of RAM, having only 8 GB available. But I doubt that this is the culprit here, the error would look different.
