GSoC 2026 — Interested in Contributing

Hey ArviZ community,

I’m Hussein Elhaddad, a Communication and Information Engineering student, interested in contributing to ArviZ for Google Summer of Code 2026.

I have strong experience in Python, data science workflows, and Git/GitHub, with projects using NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn. My recent projects: GitHub link.

I’m particularly interested in the DevOps Improvement and Standardization project. I’m motivated to learn and contribute to development workflows, including tox configuration, testing, pre-commit hooks, and GitHub Actions.

Current progress:

• Development environment set up on Linux.
• Reviewed contribution guidelines and project ideas.
• Searching for beginner-friendly issues related to testing, typing, and linting to start contributing.

I’m ready to dedicate consistent effort and collaborate with mentors and the community.
