How to use a particular version of Alumet

I would like to use Alumet v0.9.2, because the new release v0.9.3 does not seem to work for us with the old configuration (toml) files. How to do this?

What I tried:
cargo install --git https://github.com/alumet-dev/alumet.git#v0.9.2 alumet-agent

If you don't want to recompile alumet, you can download the .deb and install it with:
wget https://github.com/alumet-dev/alumet/releases/download/v0.9.2/alumet-agent_0.9.2-2_amd64_ubuntu_24.04.deb
dpkg -i alumet-agent_0.9.2-2_amd64_ubuntu_24.04.deb

If you still want to recompile alumet-agent, then you should use the tag flag from cargo install (https://doc.rust-lang.org/cargo/commands/cargo-install.html#option-cargo-install---tag)

Thank you :) We currently compile from source, because our sysadmin does not allow installing .deb files.

You can use docker images if so, maybe it can suit some of your use cases

First you need to login to github registry: https://docs.github.com/en/packages/working-with-a-github-packages-registry/working-with-the-container-registry#authenticating-to-the-container-registry

Then you'll be able to run "docker pull ghcr.io/alumet-dev/alumet-agent:0.9.2-2_ubuntu_24.04"
